Put some nail polish remover, aka acetone, around the threads of the shutter to mount ring and let it soak for 15 to 20 minutes. Apply with a cotton swab. But I've not been able to remove the shutter from the camera because the retaining ring (inside the bellows) sticks.
Provide some pictures of the shutter and parts.Any ideas what is going on or where the little spring and ball bearing should go?
No.Won't acetone dissolve the black paint?
Not sure where the little spring and ball bearing go!
Spring not correctly connected, no lube on the levers, pivots or too much lube causing the levers to stick together rather than slide across one another.I have it now so that the shutter fires, but the little lever you depress to take the picture does not return fully.

Horizontal? Vertical? Thanks for your help, I do appreciate it! Hopefully I will be able to get this thing back up and running properly.
