An article by Arne Croell in the July / August 2003 View Camera magazine lists details on your lenses, he states they cover 68 degrees (210) and 73 degrees (240). No prices listed, just that they were expensive to make and large in size. Eight elements in eight groups.

Probably more common are the Germinar W lenses (no APO designation) which were f9 rather than f8, and similar to the Schneider G-Claron.

Are they in Shutters or Barrels, and presumably they Carl Zeiss Jena lenses, or later Docter optics, they should be f8.

Ian

no shutter... they are HUGE, especially the 240 one, I can't imagine how big shutter it needs... thread mount is 110mm.

They say Carl Zeiss Jena, serial are 1459 and 1456, wonder if they are Docter or not...

thanks for any info...

thanks for the info! I just ask about the price because I think there are many more better places for them than at me... (I'm not sure if I can post ads here, so I won't say anymore)

The shutters for the shuttered Docter versions were size 3 for the 240mm, and a size 1 for the 210 and the 150mm (the lenses next to the aperture are not that big). However, the barrel versions (both Zeiss Jena or Docter) are essentially impossible to put into a shutter, as the lens elements are not mounted in lens cells to be screwed into the aperture housing, but are individually mounted in the 1-piece aperture housing. Optically, they are the same and f/8 in all cases.
