Your favorite camera? (any format)

I have a very small collection of cameras: a Minolta 35 mm alpha 9, a Nikon FM 35 mm, a Rolleiflex 2.8e (6x6), a Rolleiflex Automat (6X6), a Voigtlander Bessa (roughly 6x9), and a Crown Graphic (4x5).

They all have their ups and downs, but all in all the other cameras have a hard time competing with the Rolleiflex cameras. They have great lenses and are fun to use. Of course, I am just a hobby photographer and some of the others are better at certain things (the Minolta is better for macro, and it is also very fast).

How about you? What kind of camera is your go-to option for general use?

With apologies to the Jarvis of the Chase...my favorite camera would be the one that I happen to have pressed up against my eye, or the one whose waist level finder I happen to be looking down into.

Difficult choice, I have Rolleiflex Automat, lovely camera, Rolleicord, lovely camera, but then I have various Folders, a good collection of 35mm's all classic cameras, including Leica IIIF, but for MF it would have to be my microcord 1 1/2, but I can't choose just 1 camera, i have a favorite 35mm camera, no, not the Leica, but a Voightlander Vitessa T,I have the full set of lenses for it and they knock shades of of the Leica lenses that I have, but the camera I like the best is the one I happen to chose to use at any one time,

probably a cyclone #3 falling plate camera ... easy to use, unassuming, makes a nice image.

I have traded and used cameras for years now and have had something from almost all brands.
My current favourite is my 503CW but that may change.

It's got to be my Wista 45DX which has been my main camera for around 30 years, but my more recently acquired Super Graphic isn't far behind.

120 it'll be either my Rolleiflex 3.5E2 (UK) or Yashicamat 124 (Turkey). If I still shot 35mm it would be my Leica M3.

My 5x7 Burke and James Commercial view, or my B&J 4x5 Speed Press depending on my mood, and my Zeiss Nettar 6x6 is a close follow,even though it travels with me most of the time. I use my folder for snap shots of things that interest me, if I really like what I saw I return with a view camera.

If I could only keep one it would be my Rolleiflex 3.5F. That being said, it's not my most used, which is the Hasselblad 503CX because it's so flexible and a great compromise between size, weight and performance.

FED-2. Nice camera, I could repair, CLA it by myself and service lens as well.

It is my favorite camera. "Go to" are Leica M cameras for me.

Either Mamiya RB67, or rhe Canon New F-1

One of my biggest regrets is selling my Mamiya C220... I traded "up" to a 6x6 SLR. While the SLR is nice, I miss the feel of the Mamiya tremendously.

Of my current collection, my Pentax SuperProgram and Pentax K-01 are still my favourites.

Medium format:
My Voigtlander Bessa I. I love this camera.

35mm:
Probably one of the Retinas I own, most likely the Retina Reflex III but the IIa is also a good contender...

Favorite format? It all depends on the subject of the shot. There isn't a go-to format, but the correct tool for the job. When working on a car I can get the job done with a wrench, but an impact driver might be better suited for the job. That same impact driver will destroy some other bolts. Right?

My format choices are limited to digital (Nikon D bodies) or 35mm. When the photo calls for texture, grain or capturing shadows it's 35mm. When I need instant results with maybe a quick touch up of a RAW/NFF it's digital. For many photos I find myself bringing both formats as I'm always pleasantly surprised by how different the results can be.

Lightroom is quick and easy, but darkroom work is eminently more satisfying.
