My favorite camera for shooting color slides is the Nikon F3HP. For shooting black & white, I rely on my F2A cameras.

Well, you never really forget your first. For me, it is the Minolta srt-101. It never let me down, and I personally love the Rokkoor glass. That being said, of late I have heard the siren song of the Russian range finders, and when out shooting 35mm urban architecture, I find my self grabbing one from my FSU stable. They are simple, qiet, and pretty discrete. I have always loved the optics, and gotten fine results. Oh, and I can't afford to even look at a Leica.

My acquired-2007 Olympus XA. It's the only camera I can carry almost everywhere, great shots, reliable. An xa and an xa4 will cover 95 percent of any photo situation I find myself in, though the xa4 is nowhere near as tough as the xa.

But I can't bring myself to get rid of my grandpa's old Zeiss Contina, or the Contaflex Prima I bought because it takes the same lenses (Rodenstock-made, it turns out, but very nice.). That Contaflex, not even top of the line in its day, has the best focusing screen I've ever seen, and the camera still works, even the 1 second ss, 56 years on. Just got to printing some shots I took 23 years ago with it-- tack sharp, and crisp like a potato chip.

If my Ricoh r-1 loaded the film on the first try EVER, it would be up there too. My first point and shoot, and the panoramic feature gets a lot of use.

Well, back in 1974 when I got my first 35mm I was in love with the Minolta SRT-102 (mine was labeled the SRT-303) and I got many great shots with it. After it was stolen in Ft. Ord California I was back to 6X6 with a Yashica D until I was back in Germany and in March of 1980 I got a brand new Nikon F2a. Added a Tamron 35-70mm zoom and I was off! I still have that camera, the lens bit the bullet a while ago. For ruggedness the F2 has every thing else I have beat. The Cannon A1 that I got last fall is real close to the F2 but so far nothing can top the Nikon.

The more that I use it the more that I like my Leica M2. Going to one of my other cameras now feels like stepping down a level....

I love them every one

There are so many I haven't tried yet, I am sure there is another special one out there somewhere.

I enjoy shooting my Pentax K2, KX or LX, my Pentax PZ-1p, my Minolta SRT-101, 102 or 201, my Nikon FE, even my little Vivitar V3800N. But if I were told to get rid of them all I would fight, lie, cheat, and or steal to keep my little Pentax K1000. It probably ain't the best, but it was the first and, most likely, will be the last.

Since I cannot single out just one:

1. Nikon F2AS (my first 35mm camera): tough as nails, super dependable (and still in use after 33 years!).
2. Nikon F5 (my all-time favorite for shooting chromes).
3. Nikon F2 (DE-1 edition): no batteries, no meter, no problems!
4. Leica M6: when I do not wish to be noticed.

i like small cams.

contax t2 cause it has ev compensation and i can do app priority. I have the flash bracket too to get more light if i want it. fits in almost any pocket above the waist. taped up so i dont ding it up too much if i drop it.

contax g2 for the 28mm 35mm and the 45mm, framelines are auto, sharp and contrasty, focus is decent and simple to use. i have a shoulder strap and wrist strap. its kinda mint so i usually dont wanna drop it. i need to get over that, the shoulder strap frees up my pocket for a flash and a cord or the t2!

I loved my Olympus 35RC because it was so tiny with full manual control. I could slip it into my jacket pocket no problem, it was a fantastic little camera unfortunately the take up spool gears broke and the shutter select knob broke off.

I really like my Nikon FMs, they're built like tanks and the all mechanical construction is fantastic

Voigtlander Vitomatic II. Small enough to put in my pocket, attractive to look at, fits in one hand.
Second favourite: Zeiss Ikon Contessa LKE for the same reasons but I like Voigtlanders that bit more.

Hi all, just found this group today....
My most used camera at the moment is my Nikon FM2n, I also keep my Olympus Trip in my bag all the time too
