I was GIVEN three Minolta cameras the other day --- 1985 purchased srT100x, X-700 and a 7000 Autofocus with lots of different lenses, three flash guns ,Minolta auto 280px,Minolta Program 2800 AF ( which was totally locked up due to battery leak and will not work,) and a strange SONY HVL-F32X -- well, I had to spend lots of time cleaning all the stuff which had been in a loft for 10 years -- one lens was covered in 'crud' but cleaned up well with lens fluid and tissues. There are 3 Minolta lenses for the srT100X as far as I can see : MC W-Rokkor -SG 28mm f3.5, MC Rokkor -PF 55mm f1.7, MC Tele Rokkor-QF 200mm f3.5 ( VERY HEAVY ! ) then for the X-700 I can see MD Sigma Mini-Wide 28mm f2.8, MD Minolta 50mm f1.7 and a MD Zoom Minolta 35-70mm f3.5. all these are 'strange' to pentax pete !!
well today I tested the srT100X and under a x6 magnifier all three lenses are fully 'useable' at FULL APERTURE. Next I will do the 'MD' lenses on the X-700 -- I put in new batteries and LO and Behold !! It spluttered into life and little Red Lights came up in the viewfinder !! I have had to use Vinegar on the battery compartment of the 7000 but that also is 'alive' now !
