I purchased a lot of camera lenses that included a disassembled lens: a Yashinon DX 50mm f/1.7 with an M42 mount.
From some research online, it seems that the lens is complete and only needed a lens cleaning to remove a bit of fungus. However, I’m now having trouble reassembling it.

The optical group has a round section (shown in the image below - green arrow) that should fit into the groove of the lens body, considering there are only one free groove (red arrow). I’ve set the aperture to its widest setting and the focus to infinity, but the optical group doesn’t go all the way in, and I can’t figure out where the aperture control mechanism (blue arrow) on the optical group is supposed to lock into place.

any suggestion is very wellcome
