...several month ago I attempted to repair a jammed Yashica D. The shutter wouldn't fire and the work turned out to be a lot more than I'd bargained for (no doubt this is a familiar story). Anyway, I now realise that amongst the pile of parts I have produced is, potentially, a useful triplet lens. (more interesting than a 'Tessar'). I'm thinking of a tube to hold the glasses in the correct position, a slot for a sliding Waterhouse stop, giving circular apertures, and the whole assembly mounted into a helicoid focusing macro tube for use on a mirrorless camera. Hoping to produce a Trioplan on a budget. Any input from experienced builders would be appreciated. Thanks.
