I recently bought a Minister D and have found the dial focuses past infinity. However the focusing patch matches the scale, i.e. very distant objects register correctly at the infinity symbol but the dial turns still further until the patch de-focuses beyond infinity.
I hope that makes sense - the engraved distance dial matches the viewfinder's focus patch but there's more focus ring left. Is this normal with Yashica rangefinders?

Surprised that you got no reply to your query, blockend, and although your post is old, I have just had a look at my Minister D, and the focusing dial does not go past the infinity mark.

This seems to be a minor fault. The metal barrier that stops the helicoid at just the right place is apparently bent. What is to worry about? The camera works and the focus works. Beyond infinity is not a concern. Simply don't go past true infinity. - David Lyga
