Yashica minister-D lens assembly: help

Hi, this is my first post on Photrio (so I'm not sure if I've posted it in the right area).

I have a Yashica I purchased on eBay back in February after my Mamiya Rank broke. With the current pandemic it is only in the last week I have been able to have a look at it, I was fully aware at the time I purchased it that the camera had a sticky shutter (which didn't alarm me considering how common this problem is among these rangefinders); however, today I've got ahead of myself in the repair process. Long story short, I have disassembled what I believe is the apeture gearing on the front end of the lens (please see attached image, I am also currently replacing the leatherette). No matter how many guides and manuals I read or prior posts- I can not find schematics on how to reassemble this mess I've made.

If anyone has an information that might help, I would be much obliged.

We got indeed a dedicated repair forum, but for an inquiry on a certain model the respective format seems apt to me. (Otherwise some alert member will ask the moderators to move a thread respectively.)

To me many japanese cameras with Copal leaf shutter seem to have similar shutter controls/casings. Thus likely some member who has disassenbled this or a similar model will chime in. I though never did.


Otherwise just looking at such photo does not make one much wiser, other than seeing at some parts hints to their location/orientation. However giving the parts in your photo ordinates would have been benefitial for communicating.

My experience though is that having such parts in hand is much more telling than just one such photo. Thus, based on hints as I indicated, trial&error seems a good approach to me, as parts function and position more easily come up than by contemplating.

I can't even adjust the rangefinder on mine, let alone get any other parts off...

I just pulled it out. It's toast, the rangefinder is 10 ways past last week messed up. Looks nice on the shelf...

I hope so!!! I've just got to figure out the order :/
