Yashica Mat : Film advance issue

Hello,

I just bought a Yashica Mat and here are the symptoms of my problem :
- When the camera body is empty, I turn the lever I can see the little pin turning inside the camera, it seems to work.
- Then I put a film inside the camera, I put the take-up spool in the upper film chamber and I turn the film advance lever to engage the film, the levers itself turns but the take-up spool does not turn and the film does not advance at all !

It seems the pressure of the frame counter on the take-up spool is too high and block it.

Has anyone encountered the same issue ? What can I do ?

First of all I'm assuming that you are closing the back before winding on the film , is this correct ?
What little pin are you speaking of ? I've had a few of them completely apart in the past . With a bit
more info I may be able to help . Cheers Peter

No, I'm not closing the back because I'm trying to achieve the step you can see in this video at 3:00 :

That pin has to align with the slot in the take up spool.

If the spool is in there properly, the rod with that gear should hit the spool and turn. When the door is closed, it presses the other pin on the right side just below the arrow, this engages the counter mechanism to start metering frames.

with an empty camera, you should be able to crank around twice and then wind back half turn, then you can fire the camera shutter.

With the door open you can advance the entire roll of film non stop.

Try using a backer paper as your test roll?

To be certain,just because: you are winding' forward,' clockwise if you look at the right side of the camera, over the top and to the front?

The take-up spool is well engaged but doesn't turn and yes, I'm winding the lever clockwise.

This is the inner workings of your YashicaMat ."D" is the assembly that's wound on by the film crank .It drives "E" which turns the gear
directly above it , that is the gear connected to the end of your film roll via the "Pin" as you described it . To be able to wind on, "B" must
be in the position it now is (away from "D" , if it's closer to "D", then the end of "B" prevents the crank from turning by locking against the
tab you see on "D" which is just under the "B" tab.) It's easy to remove the plastic coatings and screws underneath , with the plate off this
is what you should see . Hope this helps a bit. I can supply more photos and possible explanation , others here I'm sure are well versed
