Hi, community.
The shutter blades of a Yashica Lynx 1000 got out of place.
To separate the shutter back from the blade compartment, I must press out the pin in the winding shaft (see picture).
It won't cooperate. From the scars on the assembly, you can appreciate those brute force methods didn't sort out any effect.
Any advice on how to get the pin out of its hole? I read in an old SPT journal that a "Petri Pin Pusher" ever existed for the job; I wonder if a similar tool exists nowadays.
In a pinch, I would try modifying a bicycle chain pin remover tool? Or grind a notch into one jaw of some pliers. The other jaw for pushing the pin, the notch for allowing it though the other side.
I was going to suggest a bicycle chain remover tool as well. You'll probably need some washers on the backside since the tool is slightly larger but it should work. They are pretty cheap too.
That Bolex tool is something to think about copying!
I don't have much clearance, so gear pullers (like those for watches' bracelets) can't hold the pin.
