I have a Yashica FX-D, which seems fine in all respects but one: the ASA dial spins freely (and with no clicks), without the unlock button being pressed (but the light meter does react to changes in ASA settings). I've googled the issue, and apparently others have experienced it as well, but no cure was suggested. Maybe someone here has found a way to solve it? It's not worth investing a lot (either money- or time-wise) in fixing the camera, but if there's a simple trick, I'd like to know.

One other issue isn't supposed to be an issue: the camera beeps when it overexposes. Is there a simple way to disable the beeper?

Thanks!
