Yashica Electro 35 GS, working electronics, shutter, and aperture, lens looks excellent, light seals look decent, excellent cosmetics, clean battery compartment, bright RF patch, but needs POD repair. Good for a weekend project, or an excellent candidate for a CLA.

This camera has good bones, all that it needs is a simple POD replacement.

$25 for a nice clean Yashica G-series with good electronics? I'm really surprised that no one has gobbled this one up. Even with a $60 POD replacement and CLA from Russ at http://www.camerarefurb.com/, you would still be ahead of the curve price-wise on this camera. And changing the so-called "pad of death" is not that difficult. I also will ship this camera in its original ever-ready case, which is in excellent condition.

I will knock 5 bucks off the price of the camera, or $40 plus shipping for the camera and aux lenses.

$35 + $11 shipping for the camera and the aux lenses. That is like getting a classic Yashica rangefinder that just needs a little TLC for free, for cryin' out loud. The case is worth $20 all by itself.

Well, I managed to knock the GS off of my shelf and onto the floor, and it seems that I have badly damaged the aperture, so it looks like this rangefinder is now one for the parts bin.

The aux lenses are still available.
