i am really looking for a yashica TLR right now, and am looking at a few auctions of the yashica D. i've read past threads on here about the two different lenses used depending on the age of the camera, cable release adaption, and lens hood info etc. but still had a couple of questions.

does the "D" have a B shutter mode?

also what are the ranges of the shutter speeds and aperture settings?

thanks and i'm really looking forward to joining the TLR community!

Good Evening, Cobytate,

A very recent thread here discussed the Yashica D in considerable detail. Use the Search feature.

i believe i just finished that thread. i just a few additional questions, sorry for the inconvenience...

At f/8 and smaller, no discernable difference in lenses (Yashikor vs. Yashinon) . Multiple exposure capable, especially if you forget to wind film after each shot. Last version has f2.8 viewing lens. Flash sync at all speeds(make sure set on "X" for strobe. Light weight, very quiet, balances well, etc.
I've owned two in my lifetime, my currant one is older than the first one I bought (Yashikor lens), my first one was traded for a motorcycle. Comes in grey or black, mine is grey(first was black). My favorite for portrait work, landscapes, and still lifes. I think it would make a good street shooter.
