What ho one and all,
Because it is a different issue, I am starting yet another thread with three photos.
What happens. Pressing the shutter release (1), also moves the fork (2) down. That fork presses 3 down, but it does not go far enough to allow the film advance. By pressing 3 by hand about 1mm (or less) of travel is available, which in turn, allows the advance lever to work. £ then springs up to provide a stop for the film advance.
So photo A is the kinda layout. Photo B is after the shutter button has been pressed and returns but 3 stays in the sown position. Photo C shows the shutter button depressed (wedged in place in this photo) and the and 3 in the fully down position (by hand) The arrow is the gap between the end of shutter button travel and the position that 3 needs to be to allow the film to advance.
I have not actually unscrewed anything to cause this, so don't know the problem and therefore, unable to find the solution.
But kinda associated with this, is the shutter button is not tripping the shutter. Feels like it is not connecting to anything. Don't know if the shutter is tensioned or not. Additionally, the self timer lever on the shutter will not move.
When I last had the camera a few weeks ago, everything worked but the shutter adjustment was really, really tight. I have now eased that and it is rotating nicely, but no shutter activation.
Grateful for some insight.
Thanks and toodle pip (and apologies for the C,B,A rather than A, B,C and for A being oriented clockwise. Trying to unsuccessfully correct)
