Yashica 44LM no red window

I came a cross a Yashica 44LM locally. I finally sourced some 127 film to give it a try. All the camera manual sights reference the red window on the camera back. My 44 doesn't have this feature. It does have the red dot with arrows to align film in. I have heard this was a variant. Anyone come across one of these and what is the film loading sequence. Thanks.
