Hello, I am a new proud owner of a great Yashica 21mm ML. As expected there is a bit of flare from the lack of a lens hood.

I've read online and seen a mythical rectangle shaped lens hood for this lens. Of course, if you didn't get the hood with the lens, it's impossible to find on it's own.

Does anyone use this lens successfully with a hood? Can anyone recommend a good lens hood for a ultra wide, in 72mm
thread? I've seen this thread about the mythical lens hood: http://forum.mflenses.com/hood-for-yashica-ml-35-21-t43171.html

Bonus: my favorite shot thus far with this lens: https://redstarjedi.tumblr.com/image/164311569924

..I doubt if a hood will make much difference - as of necessity WA hoods are rather shallow. You might try cleaning the lens or checking that it isn't dusty inside. (these lenses are from the 80's I believe). A hot-shoe mounted 'flare buster' can be effective in against-the-light situations, but I've only used one with a standard lens.
