These places would probably make good picture ops too.

What I find more fascinating than the actual contents of this choice (because I think many other people here on APUG could easily draw up an equally valid list of "10 places to see..." that is completely different from this one), is how the name of our dutch city "Arnhem" (you know: the WOII "Battle of Arnhem") ended up being the name of aboriginal homecountry in Australia???![]()

nor would or should anyone's list be the same.

That "list" is just an advert for a travel site.
Now that's a list I can relate to - I've done 6 of them (London, New York, Paris, Hong Kong, Budapest, Berlin) and three of them (Tokyo, Rio, Moscow) have been on my long-term to-do list for a long whileNew York
London
Paris
Hong Kong
Tokyo
Rio
Deli
Beijing
Budapest
Cairo
Moscow
Berlin
Sorry that's 11... in no specific order

I'd like to visit: Scotland, Nova Scotia, the US Northwest, California wine country, Savannah, Philadelphia, Appomattox Courthouse, VA, Bangor, ME, and most any place in Vermont.
Why bangor? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pMNrrLBdhuM (OK, different Bangor but I'm sure just as much funDrew, just curious why Bangor? I live fairly close, it's our nearest 'big' city (the word big very much needing to be in quotes). It has a nice river front and small downtown, but I never thought of it as much of a destination. If you're in the area, drop me note, I'd love to show you around.
