Hi all

I'm a regular lurker over at APUG but I figured that I would get a better answer over here than on the APUG digital sub forum. My main digital camera (and now my only one after my Canon packed it in) is a Fuji Finepix S9500 which of course uses XD and CF cards.

Unfortunately when trying to shoot quickly CF is no good, however XD cards are now few and far between. I have two cards (the factory 512MB card, and a Fuji 2GB card) but I would like some more storage for when I am shooting in RAW. Now I could go out and trawl through all the retail stores to try and find some NOS XD cards, but I was wondering if there was any other format that was able to be adapted to XD, if newer CF cards are noticeably faster than older cards, or if there were any other modern memory card formats that could be easily adapted to XD (or CF) interface.

Try a Sandisk 2 or 4 Gb. Extreme these are pretty fast and reliable...

There are plenty of very fast CF cards available, but that camera is 10 years old and may not be able to write any faster even using newer cards. I'd say it's time for a newer camera.
