Morning everyone. I have an Olympus XA3 here, which is basically an XA2 with DX coding, but i'm looking for some clarification on the manual ISO setting. Does the DX encoding take precident over the manual setting? A thread I found online seemed to assume so.
Does this mean if I want to push HP5 to 800 for example, I'd have to tape over the coding? Manual doesn't seem to give much away on what takes priority from what I can see.
The DX coding on the XA3 has to take priority over the manual ISO setting, because otherwise how would the DX coding ever be used? The manual ISO scale is always set to some value and DX overrides it. The XA3 camera manual makes this sort of clear in the "questions and answers" section.
