Darn it, sorry, it is an 820, not an 810! The message is in my manual on p.122, in Appendix A under "Error Messages."
The message is:
"SOFTWARE WAS CHANGED
RESET MEMORY? no yes"
The manual describes this as follows:
Indicates that the software in the unit was
changed since the last time it was powered.
It is usually advisable to reset memory after
a software change. However, all QC data
will be destroyed. If you wish to keep your
QC data, answer "no" to this question and
then look through all your CNFG options,
making sure that none of them has changed,
or any options added or removed.
The "no yes" appears over buttons 7 and 8, but nothing I can do selects either one. I have to recalibrate which is not terrible, but it is a bit of a pain.
