WW2 Cannon Rangefinder for sale

Sure, it is interesting...as eye candy, but that is all.

For USD 30K I can buy about 1,000 + SLRs that will take pictures at least as good. Why the cult? - David Lyga

A common good becoming valuable by a military engraving.

hysterical

Presumably it is a hysterical -- I mean, historic -- item. Do you have any idea how many "collectors" have been suckered by "Luftwaffen" Leicas which turned out to be fakes, just cheapo warmed-over Russian copies? Remember -- it is immoral to let suckers keep their money.

I didn't think any of you would want to buy it. It is a little overpriced?

I think it is interesting to look at, considering it's Canon's answer to the Leica.

I have old almanacs and nikon lenses were widely used with leica bodies and faraway better than todays craps, masterpieces of photography ,
but I dont think anybody would pay that money. For 5000 , you can buy a japanese warship ship telescope , faraway more interesting and fits to the skycrapers saloon better , not a wallet size investment
