Just lost one on the big auction site and thought I'd turn to the good people here. I don't have a preference on format for framing, just want to use it as a learning tool.
What format? For example, I have one that's for my 6x7 MF film camera. If you match the format, then you can see the frame of your shot as well before you shoot it.

Useless in what way? In "previewing" in b/w or as framing devise or both? I remember reading somewhere a while back that is was basically a Wratten "#something or other" filter sandwiched in glass with a 4x5 mask.
If your into the Fred Picker/ZoneVI thing I have a tar ball image of his one time VHS->DVD in the google cloud (hate the term cloud). It is large ,7GB+.

It’s a wratten 90 filter which I think you can buy from B&H in gel form. The Zone VI filter was sandwiched between two 35mm (2” x2”) glass slide mounts. I have a bunch of glass slide mounts. I may have an extra Zone VI viewing filter for 4x5. PM me if you still want one or some slide mounts. Neither for free. .
