Thanks for the replies everyone-- I've got a couple old inaccurate ones that I may have repaired if I can't find one.
Going to be doing some long paddling trips (1.5-2 weeks), some longer backpacking trips, and lots of general travel this season. I'm trying to find a battery-less kit to take with me. (likely an old screwmount camera, and a MF folder or two), as well as a meter that'll work well. In my experience, the rapid and daily temperture cycling kills zinc-air and silver batteries, and tossing stuff in the bottom of a sleeping bag helps a little, but it'll still drop in temp as soon as you get up in the morning, and then heat up throughout the day. I've killed fresh batteries in my MX before on a 3 day trip, between temp cycling and the meter getting bumped and turned on in my backpack.
Anyways, if anyone has any tips or recommendations, or any meters they'd be willing to part with, let me know. I've gotten a few PM's, but only one real offer so far. I'd be open to any meter, or any tips on battery care/handling in rough scenarios.
EDIT: A megatron manufactured NOS Euro Master II just popped up on the 'bay for $9. Being manufactured from 1987-2010, I think I have a good shot of the Se cell still being good. Thanks for the tips!
