I am looking for a few Voigtländer 6.5 X 9 plate holders. A roll film adapter (Rollex) that fits the camera (an Avus) measures 2 31/32 wide by 5 1/8 from bottom to top. It has a lip around the edge (that is included in the measurement above) that is .050 thick and 3/32 wide. There is an indent on the left hand side that a little hook goes into that is 4 3/4 inches up from the bottom (in the middle of it) and 3/16 long .
They are available on eBay, but the guy is asking $12.95 each and that seems a bit expensive to me, esp. when Graflex 5X7 holders can be had for $4 to $5 each. If he could combine the shipping it would be fine, probably.
I would be willing to purchase them outright. Please contact me or reply and we will work something out. I am going to say I want to find about ten of them. It is fine if you have less than that.
I do have 12 Graflex 3 X 4 film holders that I would be willing to trade for these, also. They are called "3 1/4 X 4 1/4 Graphic Film Holder Type 5" and look like a miniaturized 4 X 5 holder. Some are wooden Graflex ones and there are other brands, too. They look to be in good shape and some still have film in them from the previous guy (why would you put film in a bad holder?). I am thinking that two Voigtländer holders for three Graflex holders would be fair.
