I am looking to buy one of the following cameras:

Rolleiflex 2.8E/F Planar
Rolleiflex 2.8E/F Xenotar
Rolleiflex 3.5E/F Planar
Rolleiflex 3.5E/F Xenotar

I don't expect the physical condition to be perfect, but everything should be in perfect working condition. I am a photographer who actually takes pictures and I will be shooting with this camera.

I am a poor unemployed student and I can only offer up to US$600, but my budget is slightly flexible. Please contact me if you have one to let go. I have an excellent Fuji GW690II to trade, if you are interested. Check out (there was a url link here which no longer exists) for details.

You'll never find an F under that price, and most E's at that price point will be in "tough" condition. That said my favorite (and I have 8 Rollieflex TLRs) is a beat-to-heck 2.8E Planar I got for less than $200 in a shop down some alley in Beijing some 14-15 years ago. The taking lens is devoid of any more coating and has some micro scratches but I swear it has the most beautiful character of all my Rollei's, Planar or Xenotar (well, maybe other than my Rolleiwide Distagon). That said I did eventually spend some coin later getting Harry Fleenor to do a full CLA and advance overhaul.

Best of luck with your search. They are obviously my favorite cameras.

never say no

I recently bought a 3.5 Rollie at a flea market for $180. It looks and works beautifully although the back is a bit bent and someone pried it open a time or two. But that does not affect the workings. So, you never know.

Rolleiflex or Rolliecord? What lens: Planar or Xenotar? Or Tessar maybe?

It will be a treasure for you. Just hit local antique store and Antique malls, thrift shops, and goodwill, Estate sales. I'm doing the same thing with trying to find a M3 single stroke range finder. You might come across one the seller has no idea about it and just wants to get rid of it.
