Hello!

I’m currently in search of a user condition rolleiflex 3.5e (any of the various versions), preferably with a light meter, but that isn’t a deal breaker.

If you have a 2.8 or a different 3.5 model that you’d like to sell, don’t hesitate to pm me about it, we may be able to reach a deal.

Thanks!

The Rollleiflex E has a fixed (ie non-removable) waist level finder, as I recall.

If you want a removable WLF, you should look for an E2. Basically these were an early version of the F with some modifications like the X/M/self timer button (on the E) which was changed to a lever (on the F), along with a few other minor changes, basically all cosmetic.

There was also an E3, but these are as rare as dentures for chickens. I came across one at an oddly very low price in the early 2000s, but stupidly passed on it. I've not seen one since and I doubt I will in the rest of this lifetime, they are that uncommon.

I believe most Es came with a Zeiss Planar 75/3.5. My E2 has this lens (I've not seen one with a Xenotar, but it's quite possible they do exist) and after 57 years it has developed a small spot of separation between two lens elements. Which does FA to the excellent resolution quality of my images. Fungus in a lens I would definitely pass on, but a little separation may be worth the risk (if the price is right).

My E2 isn't for sale (none of my cherished Rolleis are), but the very best of good luck to you in your quest for this little gem of a camera.
