Hi,

I'm looking for a Paterson 3-reel tank with lid, spindle, etc., but reels are not necessary. (though of course I'll take them if you've got 'em)

I'm sure some of you know why I'm looking for this... :whistling:

Anyways, let me know what you've got and how much you're looking to get for it.

Thanks,

C.H.olmburgers

I have one, but I am in the UK, and posting to your side of the pond will be more expensive than a tank itself.

Hello again Mr. Burgers, let me scour my immense basement this evening and see what I can find. Might you consider one of the larger tanks, like one that holds 8 35s or 5 120s? Anyway, if the monsters downstairs don't gobble me up, I'll let you know what I find.

Tnx,

-- Mark

Wow, I think adorama is charging less than what some go for on eBay!

werra... close! Actually it's for the "MOD Photographics Pro-Plate" 4x5" processor.

Mark, I'm holding out hope for your basement, pending of course that the monster doesn't devour you. I'm afraid I cannot consider one of the larger tanks; it's gotta be the 3-reel!

thanks y'all

Speaking of taco method, I keep trying with my 4x5, and I end up scratching my film over and over again.
Initially I thought my Paterson Universal tank was too short, and that's why I kept scratching the corners where they are compressed by the black funnel.
I got a 3 reel one, and now my problem is that with either rubber bands or with fabric sleeves some of the sheets unfold inside, stick to the wall and are scratched by the rest of the sheets.
Finally, I counted all the film wasted, all the negatives lost, all the effort invested, and the money for the three reel tank, and I figured I should have bought a Jobo system in the first place.
So, now my 3 reel tank is going to the storage box, and I am getting Jobo 2520 drum and Jobo 2509N reel.

If I was shooting 5x7 I would have gotten Jobo 3005 expert drum.

So this would be one that accepts 3 35s or 2 120s, n'est ce pas?

Chris, I got one from B&H after looking on eBay and making the same determination. BTW, I love the processor from Mod Photographic, it is easy to load and works great.

Thanks guys. I think I've found one, so until further notice, I'm no longer "on the market".

OK. I have a small one and some larger ones (if anyone is interested - hint hint). I only have one 3-reel, and I do use that often.

Cheers,

I have a few Patterson tanks, reels in a drawer I am willing to sell. If you are interested drop me a PM and let me know.

Thanks John but I've got one now actually. I guess I ought to close the thread...

Put it up in the for sale section though, because a lot of folks want them for the Mod Photographic Pro Plates 4x5" processor.
