Hello -
I'm looking for the complete door (standard) from a Nikon F100, the plastic door latch on mine broke and I'm looking to replace the complete door. Hoping to spend no more than about $35, but quote me your price if you have one in good working condition. Thanks - Dana

Well...good luck. It seems to be the weak point of the F100. If you can stumble across one, such as on eBay, they cost more than the entire camera, if you can find one with a film door to begin with.
I have had an F100 since they first hit the market and luckily(?) the film door hinge is good, however, the AF mode selector in the back, the thumb wheel on the left, fell off without my knowledge. So if you feel like selling me your door at a reasonable price I feel a fix can be had.

Looking on eBay.... the going rate seems to be 2X your budget.

I don't think my door would help you since the integral (plastic) latch is broken and can't be repaired.

A broken latch is not a problem. I just need this part which is removable. The thumbwheel on the left apparently broke and fell off at some point leaving a hole that I plugged with a round plastic piece that fits nicely.

If I find a replacement for mine I'll consider selling mine to you It might be a while. I don't want to remove mine before I have a replacement.

No problem. Thanks.

Check ebay..."Nikon back door for F100". Literally dozens but not cheap. Quite a racket since there are dozens of F100's for bid with no back door.

FYI because of the age, your replacement door may be on the verge of breaking as well. The way to prolong its life is to manually push up the film door release tab as you close it, then gently lower it. This puts less strain on it as it does not snap closed. Good luck!
