Want to Buy [WTB] Nikon DP-12 Photomic

Hello, everybody!

I got a very nice Nikon F2 from Robert Ley late last year, but the DP-1 that came with it, like Robert said at the time, is not working well. So, I’m looking to “upgrade” that F2 with a DP-12.

Strangely, DP-12’s on eBay are costing the same as an F2 with the same finder! But I’m not really interested in having a spare F2 body...

I would pay around 80 US dollars for an optically and functionally good specimen. I don’t care about the outside looks. It can be ugly, but must work and have no problems with the glass parts.

I’ll be waiting for offers!

Not my personal experience... this price you quote is more inline with mint condition DP-12’s. The EvilBay prices also don’t reflect reality anymore, it’s just a bunch of bloodsuckers trying to sell what they call “rare” and “collectible”. I don’t care for looks, it just needs to work and I can’t spend much more than that.

In fact, I already have an offer from a member. I might as well just close this thread.

Someone is actually offering you a DP12 for $80? Wow. Best I've seen is about $200. Anywhere.
Make sure it is working properly, mine became flaky and I had to get it serviced by Sover Wong who put in a new ring resistor.

Not $80, but I still can afford it. Well, I guess I should close this.
