Hi,

I have newer Ai version, but I want to buy older version of 105mm f2.5 nikkor-p (with smaller rear glass).
Cheap is better, it can be ugly and beaten, glass can be with some smaller scratches, but it must be functional.

Yep. Early one is Sonnar and later is Gauss. I have a hard time finding any picture collections that compare the two.

Ha, ha, I have similar story. Bought it, converted to Ai and still waiting for comparison test with AiS version.

KEH is good for USA, but here in Europe shipping is more expensive than lens itself. I had one and sold it, so I can compare those 2 - first one is less sharp for sure, but somehow I like it for portraits. Difference is very small, but with cheap prices - why not have both ?
