Subject pretty much says it all. Looking for Metol...

100g should be OK, but since it would be shipped from abroad (unless some fellow Brazilian has some to spare, which I highly doubt it), I guess it would be better to get half a pound (around 200 to 250 grams). If the price is right, a metric crapload would be nice!

Yes, I could buy from the Formulary or B&S, but I guess I should take a shot here before I buy from one of them. Some people have drums of this that they won't be able to use in two or three lifetimes!

Thanks, guys... Since no one offer to sell directly to me, I will be looking into larfe’s and Terry’s suggestions.

Not too surprising. Most of us have no idea how to sell and ship internationally, duties, customs, hazmat, etc.
 
I only buy as much as I need from suvatlar.de in Hamburg;a very reliable resource with good prices and reasonable shipping

Metol is not classified as hazmat. Customs and duties are charged directly to me by the Brazilian govt. it’s pretty much a car of “pack it well enough, put it in a box and drop it at the post office.

There’s this company in the UK that larfe pointed me to. I could also get some Metol from the Formulary and take the opportunity to get some phtalated gelatine too.

That’s a good idea. I have bought stuff from Mr. Suvatlar before and service is top notch.
 
Got a pound (half a kilogram) for a little over $70 at Photographers Formulary. The price is incredibly good, compared to Bostick & Sullivan, for example.

None of them had phthalated gelatin, though. Got straight gelatin and will get some phthalic anhydride locally.
