Hi everyone,

I'm looking to purchase a Linhof Super Rollex, exact part # is 001523 in the Linhof catalog.
This is the 'International'(4x5/9x12 Graflok) sized back, NOT the backs designed for 6x9 cameras.
Black leatherette preferred, but tan is fine if that is what's available. Fully-functioning only please.
"User" condition is fine. But it must be 100% functional and light-tight.

thanks,
Dan

Dan, with Emmanuel Bigler's help I bought one last year from a seller on the French LF forum. Mine mine mine, not for sale.

But and however, Emmanuel reminded me that Horseman roll holders are good imitations and functionally equivalent. More plastic, less weight. I don't know which little machine shop made them, but the things are/were sold badged Wista as well as Horseman. And if my memory hasn't failed completely, Sinar sold a few too.

I got curious, took several looks on eBay. The few genuine Linhof 6x9 for 4x5 cameras up now are priced far above what I paid but I saw a reasonably priced Wista.

Not knowing better, I also took a look on ebay.fr

The Wista rollholders are not the same as the Horseman holders - different shape, different positioning of the controls, different film-plane register. I've owned both, stuck with the Horseman holders for my Horseman cameras.

The ARCA-SWISS holders are rebadged Horseman holders.

Sinar holders are large, slide-in devices, radically different in design from Linhof, Horseman or Wista holders of any type.
