Hello,

I am looking for a Summicron 50 F2 - the one that has the tabbed focusing. It was made from 1979 - 1994 I believe. The version before the internal hood was included.

I remember buying a new one w/a wide tab in 1967.

As far as i know only the ver4 has a tab, the rest are rings. On the 35 yes, but the 50 is tab-less mostly.

This was a beautiful curved wide tab that your finger-tip could fit into. They don't make them like they used to!! Ask me how many times I've kicked myself for getting rid of my flat-out gorgeous 1967 Leica M4 w/6 new lenses!!
