Here's a better picture, I'm not selling I'm giving. I have the older version as well, I almost through this stuff out . Hole has a slight taper on the inside no set screwsIt’s imperative to check with the seller the version offered. The older version (Version 1) has two setscrews diametrically-opposite that bear against flats on the end of the elevation cross shaft. The holes for the setscrews are diametrically-opposite in a single tapped hole crosswise through the hub of the crank.
At some point the 23CII was revised with a tapered end on the shaft and a mating tapered socket, with angled anti-rotation flats on both. The crank is fixed to the end of the shaft via a long machine screw screwed into the end of the shaft and whose head bears against the crank handle. I refer to this as Version 2.
If you’re patient, eventually the Version 2 crank handle will show up on eBay, unless an APUGer with an extra offers one sooner.
If the one pictured in post #10 has no tapped cross hole in the hub, then it is the required Version 2 (photo is too dark in the hub area to be sure).
We all need all the Karma we can get. I will pm you when I get it in the mailWow that is awesome. I am the original poster. I would love to have the type 2 assembly with the knob if you’re willing. I will PM my mailing address. I can shoot you something to cover the postage. I’ll put up an apug benefit item soon to complete the wheel of karma.

Hello. I'm new here and know this is an old post. I wonder if you still have a 23cII version 2 elevation crank that you can spare? I just had my new to me enlarger arrive to find the metal crank has snapped during transit. There are a few on ebay but are both the wrong version 1 with set screws. Thanks a lot, and kind regards! Here's another option, I dug deeper, I hit another mother lode of parts. One brand new with a knob, a black one tapered with out the knob, and a 1970's Beseler blue type 1?? Free send me your address.
I always used the 4x5 Beseler units.
