I'm looking for a 4x5 light mixing box for the Ilford 500 system. I'm located in Germany, but as size and weight of these units isn't exceedingly high, international offers are welcome.

Also on my WTB list: the original Ilford 500 head mounting material for a Durst L1200.

There is a 5x4 mixing box on the auction site at the moment.

It mentions De vere, but as it's an Ilford box, it's irrelevant what chassis it's fitted to.

I have the fittings instructions for the Adapter kit for the Durst L1200 but cannot post here because file is too large.
It will be hard to find the good boxes for the Durst L1200 because theses boxes drop is 25mm. Your best move is to buy Beseler boxes that are 35mm drop and construct your own adapter ajusting the height to theses 35mm drop boxes.

Brands are very importants because boxes can be flush (4mm drop) or have drop of 15mm, 25mm, 35mm or 40mm etc. The drop is calculated to be the closer possible of the carrier or the condenser if condenser is used.

Hey Ginette,

thanks for the info, greatly appreciated! Already downloading.

@mpirie: thanks, I bookmarked it, let's see where it will end pricewise.

FYI I use a box that is flush to the head bottom, but added a ring below the head to compensate for the Beseler design. I put a second condenser in the ring too and it gives me longer exposure times. I also fabricated the mounting bracket out of thin plywood since I could not find one.
