Sorry Richard, I haven't used a zoom lens in 3 years and am not planning to at the moment

No worries, understand. I have the GA645 and the zi and like them both. Bought the latter as a curiosity and feel I should sell as I do not use it enough but then again do not seem so motivated to do so either.

As for zoom it's not a zoom in the sense that one would think of a zoom on something like a 35mm SLR.

Ya, I loved it the moment I was holding it for the first time. That's why I want to swap mine with the slightly improved GA645i.

I heard that you also get the 16th frame and the autofocus is quieter and faster?
