Want to Buy WTB/FT Goerz Dagor 19in/7.7 in Shutter

Trader history for Jurgen Estanislao (0)

I have one with Compound V. Not cheap.
The lens has been fully serviced by a professional technician.

Photos will follow later, possibly in a few months. For now, I only have photos from before the repair. I have two shutters; we made a universal mount on one, so now it accepts any 110mm thread. We'll figure out the second one soon. I'll look for old photos; I couldn't find any in Messenger, as I have a lot of lenses.

Besides these, there were others, I'll look for them.

I have mine for sale. single coated lens (very rare), very clean glass, smooth iris, and I can supply with a sinar DB shutter with adapters for use with ULF, which means then you can use the shutter with other process lenses. DB shutter is the "88 improved model", and comes with all cables, including two flash sync cables. Cost for the lens, shutter and adapters would be $3000 net to me, plus shipping. Lens was manufactured in the US, so I would guess there's no tariff. Pics below show the shutter with a Goerz Artar 30in on a Ritter lens board, last image shows the Dagor 19". I can provide better images this evening.

I also do installation in the Sinar shutter, but the 3K$ with the shutter is a very affordable price!

Was the coating applied by the manufacturer or was it done in a "garage"?
What is the serial number of the lens?
Do you have dagors with a long focal length (600/750/900/1200)?

That

That's $3000 net to me, plus shipping. Serial number of the lens is 396999, which dates it around 1922-1923. I assume coating was done after manufacture, as these lenses weren't coated back in the day.

I don't have any longer length dagors, though I do have an Artar 30"

Thanks! Will take a look

I think my dagor is a real dagor because of the size, but the price will be much higher.
Also historically redesigned dagor are the Apo-Symmar models, which were likely manufactured with greater precision on CNC machines. The problem is that their lineup does not include models with a focal length longer than 480.

Here's some pictures of the Dagor f7.7 19", serial number 396999, with the Sinar DB shutter and adapters. The Ritter board is shown to demonstrate how it all fits together. I use the Sinar standard as part of the assembly so I can use Sinar accessories, such as bellows for lens shades, filter holders etc, and it's great for that purpose. As you can see, the glass is clear and you can see the colour from the coating in the reflection.
