I have a Beseler 23C ll but I'd am thinking of learning to print from 4x5 negatives. Anyone an hour or two from Washington, DC have an enlarger they are looking to get rid of?

I'm a bit more than a couple of hours from DC but I have a Beseler 45MXT with Zone VI cold light head and controller I'm willing to part with.

I am in Baltimore and have a complete Besler MXT enlarger with various lenses and all the necessary accessories we can discuss if you're interested.

If anyone else is in the group that has been a member for a while but hasn't enough posts to use the private messaging function, you can request that it be turned on for you by "Reporting" your own post, and making the request. The site owner, Sean, is the one that has the ability to deal with this - he is currently quite busy outside Photrio but he should be able to get to the request soon.

Mike- We've talked about this (4x5 enlargers) over on Facebook on one of your threads, but as an FYI, if that enlarger purchase doesn't happen for you, you can always come to Glen Echo Photoworks and use our darkroom during Open Darkroom hours. If they have not resumed them already, they will shortly. That's on Sundays between 1-7pm, and the rate is $8/hour which includes all chemistry - you just provide your own film and paper.

I'd love to take the darkroom class but I think it's $600. Do I have that correct?

I don't know what the regular darkroom class costs but that sounds way too much. That might be the cost of a full semester worth. They've got a new version of the evening darkroom class that's a pay-as-you-go deal - you can take individual classes or sign up for the whole bunch. PM me over on Facebook and I can put you in touch with the guy who runs the darkroom class so he can explain exactly how it works to you.
