Cameras i'm interested in includes Fuji x10, x100, Olympus Pen E-P's (Not E-PL) and others in that size and quality (Lumix GF1 eg) - preferably interchangeable optics. Did i mention not too costly?

Just as Martin says, this is in the Misc/Anything Goes forum, where most all is okay. I wanted to post on DPUG too, but apparently my name got rejected because its too generic.

I'll be using this for moments where i don't wanna waste film, but a phone picture won't suffice... Mostly they won't, ever.

Just today, I was reflecting on how my digicam is almost more work than film. I use it mainly for a few test shots and then pull the card and develop. I seldom take 24 or 36 pics in a row. I am too set in my ways that even using digital, I seldom 'pray and spray' it is so boring culling the duds.

Good luck finding what you want.

Is it my imagination, or am I seeing more and more digital posts on what I thought was an analogue photography forum?

[h=1]Forum: [Classifieds] Misc. -Anything Goes[/h]Post items for sale that are not necessarily related to traditional photography.

But is such a forum section a good idea on an analogue site?

Debating the veracity of electronic vs. emulsion is for another place. If at all. The man is looking for a small electronic camera and is a posting member here. Why commandeer his thread and ruin his chances?

I had a Lumix G3 for a bit, which I got last year for $300 with the kit 14-42mm lens. I found it more useful, and not much larger, than my first digital camera (a Nikon Coolpix 5700; I can't believe I paid $1200 for that camera...). I recently sold the G3 because, as with the old Coolpix, I didn't like the electronic viewfinder. I'm very used to the view through a "real" SLR like my Nikon F3. Also I really prefer to use film whenever possible, and I just wasn't using the G3... But it was a great little camera, very portable, with good image quality. And all the m4/3 cameras have the ability to mount just about any lens you can find, with the right adapter. Nice for someone like me with a collection of screw-mount Takumars and other oddball m42 lenses.

Sort of on topic... Nikon's slogan for their Nikon 1 camera is: "Beautiful Pictures you can't get with your Smartphone." I dare say this also applies to Analog photography. If I didn't already have a bunch of Pentax stuff... but I see no need to switch camera systems.

This "Anything Goes" forum is essential in today's photographic world.
Yes, we all love film and the analog work flow, but we can't put our collective heads in the sand and ignore reality.
I have listed and sold some digital items here on this forum, although I've taken some unwarranted heat from having done so.
It seems that some analog users' skins are quite thin whenever the "D" word is used.
