I'm looking for a cheap, repeat, cheap, flatbed scanner for film. It needs to handle 35mm, 6x6, 6x7 and 4x5 negs. Must work using a USB cable under XP and you must take paypal.

I can pick up something like an HP5370C on Ebay for under $40 shipped, so that's the sort of price range I'm looking at. I can't get my place dark enough to do any printing and it is maddening, so I thought I'd try this route.

I know there are better scanners for $X and all sorts of wonderful non-cheap things. If I ever take a photo worth spending more than $40 on, I'll look into those. For now, I want a working, cheap interim solution that you want out of your closet!

Please PM or email me.

Thanks,
Richard

I have a Epson 3170 for $25 and actual shipping.

I never used it for Film but it worked great for copying pictures. I think it would be a good film scanner. I upgraded to an Epson 700 so this is an extra scanner .

Research this scanner and if it meets you need let me know.

Do you still have the epson 3170 for sale. If so I will buy it.

Richard, I have an Epson v700 and a Flexight II that I am working on getting up and running. If you ever want a high res scan, I would do it for credit on my next lens purchase from you.
