I shoot a Phillips myself, but I've seen that Chamonix up close and it's a very nice camera with certain similar features. I rigged up a little flip
down shade for casual use. But if I need a more serious shade, use a Lee collapsible compendium which attaches with a special filter thread. Ebony offers a little gooseneck arm with a clip for the darkslide. Of course, I'd use it with an old darkslide or whatever, not the one from the filmholder in use, cause it's kinda difficult to properly adjust the shade without looking thru the corners of the groundglass first. Guess you haven't gotten a beard and Cowboy hat shade yet, Stone. Me neither.
There's a spot in my coffin for mine.
(there was a url link here which no longer exists)
Actually, a coffin would make a nice 24x76" panoramic camera...
Thanks John,
If you look at the large-format forum post of the same thing, you'll see that he and I are already speaking, but because the money hasn't come in he wants to try and see if anyone else is interested, but thanks for the heads up.
Annnnnndddddd... No longer looking folks...
Have you got the camera?
Tom
how about putting this thread on LOCKED MODE ?
hope you are printing money in your basement, you are gonna need it !
good luck !
HUH?
you could contact print a year ago, and a handful of people suggested you do,
whether it be solar prints, cyanotypes or whatever ...
only you claimed you "couldn't" for a variety of reasons ( never expounded upon ) ...
... but in any case good to hear and good luck with that ... (and printing up all that $$ )
