Looking for one with poor cosmetics, i.e. a less expensive one, with good internals--clear viewfinder, bright rangefinder patch, and mechanically functioning OK (not needing an immediate CLA to shoot). I'm in NYC.

I got almost exactly what you describe in an M2 from Youxin Ye. Good price too. Got a beater IIIf RD from him too. Both work great. I'm pleased as punch. Contact him. He often has just such bodies lying around and in no time can fix it up to perfect working order for you.

Ditto - just bought an M2 from Youxin and had a CLA on my IIIc and both times were awesome experiences. He is such a great repair person and great communication/prices to boot!
