But Barry Thornton's book "Element" is now also available in e-book (psd) at: Dead Link Removed
There you'll find also his book: Elements of Transition, From traditional to digital monochrome fine prints – a concise but complete guide.

My favorite photography author of all time. Read them all multiple times. Took me a while to get them all. UK sellers might be your best bet for rarest ones.

I do see we can buy his digital books.

Is his MonoMatch© book or system still relevant to newer printers?

I know the eBook is reasonably priced, but I need to control my impulse to buy everything photographic...

If you are an analoguer then the second book you should look for is Edge of Darkness. I am not sure if the Elements of Transition deals with analogue in the way you'd want. It sounds as if it may be of much less help if you are looking for film and darkroom print processing
