I gave up looking for 43.5mm filters. Got a 43.5mm to 49mm converter ring instead as I already had 49mm filters.

yeah..that's my backup plan but they are expensive.

Yeah some filter sizes are difficult to find.

There are 43.5-43 and 43-46 step rings on ebay for less than $10. Consider this since you can get new filters in these sizes instead of scratched up vintage ones.
