I'm looking for a very nice example of an earlier Fujinon-W 135mm lens... must have the writing on the inside of the filter ring. I'm pretty sure the earlier ones have 46mm filter threads. I prefer a Copal shutter (not sure they ever came with a Copal) but will consider a Seiko. Must be overall exc+ and optically/mechanically flawless. The shutter can be a bit sluggish as long as it only needs a CLA... price must accommodate the price of a CLA if needed.
HERE'S THE CATCH... I won't have the cash until May 17th. If you have one for sale and can wait three weeks from today for me to mail a Postal Money Order then please post here with an offer.
NOTE: I "might" be willing to trade my near mint 135mm Apo Symmar in all black Copal shutter for a really nice example of the Fujinon. I'd rather test them both side-by-side but if you're interested in a trade then I'd rather not spend the cash for the Fuji. I have the original box for my 135mm Apo Symmar.
I've asked how often WTB Ads can be bumped (tolerated) and the consensus seems to be once-per-week. It'll take weeks or months to find what I want at that rate.
I'm too impatient to wait weeks/moths so I'm cancelling my WTB ads and will buy either from commercial sites or eBay. I'm sorry I bothered others... but bumping a WTB ad once per week is very ineffectual.
Thanks anyway. At least I learned something about tolerance and fitting in.
I'm just trying to fit in and adhere to what others consider polite. I'm perfectly happy buying off eBay or KEH or wherever if that's what works better for everyone involved. I realize it provides no financial support for APUG but I suspect not many sellers donate anyway and, even if they did, it's not much out of APUG's pocket anyway. It's easier and less stressful just to buy elsewhere.
I agree with your point that it is easier to buy at KEH (I think they have the lens you are looking for right now) and others. Anyways, good luck with the search.
KEH does have a 90mm Nikkor-SW f/8 as do a couple other commercial sites... maybe a little more cost but no forum drama regarding ad bumps. Heck, I can buy a f/4.5 for nearly the same price as the f/8's I've seen lately. The faster lenses seem to be far more common and a better deal. But I want a smaller/lighter lens for use with 6x12cm roll film with plenty of movements. Anyway... less drama is better.
