I am looking for a complete setup for 11x14 - No fixed ideas, but must be fully operational without bellows holes and with Film t least a few film holders. No lens, no problem. I do not need large movements, this is mainly for studio based portrait work/

I am in Switzerland/France

What have you got?
Thanks,
Alan

Hi Alan,

I have a DIY 11x14 that’s built from an old Toyo chassis with a process camera back. It’s heavy and a bit wobbly but works. Also has 3 (4?) wooden holders of varying quality. I retired this one when I bought a Chamonix a few years ago. It needs a new home where it would get some love... I’m in Basel.

Let me know if you’d like to take a look at it.

All the best,
Ian

Hi Ian,

Please let me have a photo or two and an idea of price - At this stage I am keeping an open mind as to what I want/need, but will study carefully all offers.

Thanks,

Alan

Here are a couple of photos (the tripod, lens and sunflowers are not for sale). Neither photos are recent because the camera is packed away somewhere in my attic. If you're interested then it would be best to come over and take a look "in the flesh". I'll dig it out to show you what works and what could work better. I can throw in a couple of boxes of expired HP5+ if you like. The film boxes got water damaged in my fridge but I think the film didn't get wet so I kept them.

I'm not sure what I want for payment. I'm open to offers.

Hi Ian,

How about I take a paid Platinum printing day course with you and I can look at this at the same time? I am around in Neuchatel end of January beginning February virtually any time/day that suits you (not Sunday 7th Feb though) ., Basel is not so far for me. - I am also interested in seeing the LC3+ system you have as I just bought a 50x40 reflector and 600W 6K MH lamp with ballast. I've been printing silver since age 10 and now am 62, equipped for 4x5 with Durst Multigtaph and L1200 condenser head, lith printing is what I love, but have been doing mostly Digital studio work since last 8 years. Now need to get to large digital negs and wet hands , and also actual 11x14 negs. I have done some salt printing but not yet platinum. . Got equipped 15 years back but never got to it because of work. I would be looking particularly to the POP methods, Mike Ware and possibly B+S Ziatype. I have an electronics background as well, so I think we have quite some common ground. Let me know if you have some time in early 2021. Alan
