Does anyone make a wrench, like the ones for shutters, to be used for tightening the retainer ring which holds the lens on the lens board. I know I can use a spanner wrench, just looking for an easier solution. If there is one available, who makes it, what is it called and where is the "getting place?" Bill Barber

The spanner's made for it. Is there a clearance problem with the board/lens?

The little flat metal wrench made for shutters is so easy to use and takes up so little space, thought there might be one for enlarger retainer rings.

McMaster-Carr Supply has a huge selection of spanner wrenches.

Go to http://www.mcmaster.com
and type spanner wrench in the search box at upper left.

Enlarger lens retaining rings shouldn't be more than finger tightened.

If you had to use a wrench....

One may make such oneself from a piece of sheet metal.
