UK price is £5.90 per gallon. That translates to $9.61 but due to the difference in size between a US gallon and an Imperial gallon, we pay around $8.00 for a US size gallon.
So almost twice the US price.
No point complaining though. The government will get what money it needs from us one way or another. If the duty on petrol was decreased it would just be added onto something else to make up the difference. Might as well have it on a pollution producing product in an attempt to reduce its useage.
What you Americans really need is not cheaper gas but cars which do twice the miles per gallon than the ones you have at the moment - like we have.
