I've already emailed several Fuji dealers about this and asked to be contacted immediately upon its release.

When ever I surf camera's my wife's immediate response is "What are you doing?"

Mine too and i always feel guilty...
Sometimes, in order to mock me. she comes in with a crazed look in her eyes and repeating the words "cameras! cameras! cameras! lenses! lenses! Fuji! Hasselblad!"

HEY FUJI ARE YOU LISTENING....a 150k commitment from one group of people already.testing 1..2..3.. are you out there. i hope so i really want one..

175 people on RFF have said they would buy this camera.
166 people on APUG have said they would buy this camera.

I guess this is a good sign.

From Fujifilm USA:

"We wish to inform you that the new portable medium-format film camera
displayed at the recent PMA 2008 Show is a prototype and currently not
available. At this point in time, there is no additional information
on the technical specifications, pricing, or release date for this
prototype. "

Don't know if my Blad is too large for my pockets or my pockets too little for my Blad... but I'd like a recent/decent MF camera to carry with me all the time. Used to buy my cameras second hand, but for this one I would do the same exception I made in 83 for the Canon F1 New.

So, a quite few threads have started on this camera. Well I got an update from Fuji today:-

Thank you for contacting the FUJIFILM USA Helpdesk.

Yup, I got that one too.

That they are sending out a standard email suggests they are getting too many enquiries to be answered individually. That has to be a good thing.

The folks over at dpreview.com are even talking about the camera with several people saying it would be
their first medium format camera.

That is definitely a good sign.

I wonder if you still need to watch the numbers in the little red window as you wind on.

I ARE!!!!

Trouble is this thread is a would you and not an are you!

Put me in the "ARE" column!

That will give me a Fuji GS645 (folder), a Fuji GA645Zi, a Fuji G690bl, and the new folder. Both the GS645 folder and the GA645Zi are back from Frank at Camera Wiz in the last 3 months.

I wish I could find a nice Fuji Field Camera in 4X5. Anyone have one for sale. I have about 4 Fujinon large format lenses.
